Lev Arkad'evich Kaluzhnin (31.01.1914-06.12.1990) was an outstanding mathematician born in Moscow. Professor of Berlin University, founder and head of the algebra chair in Kyiv University. Author of more than 130 articles and books. Appreciated teacher to his students including 18 PhDs and 4 habilitated PhDs. His wide scientific interests included permutation groups, group varieties theory, algorithm theory, mathematical linguistics. Most famous results lie in the field of group theory.

The conference sessions will take place in the building of the Faculty for mechanics and mathematics of the National Taras Shevchenko University of Kyiv. One of the most convenient ways to get there is subway. Please exit at the Vystavkovyi Tsentr (Exhibition Center) station (it is station number 225 on the blue line). Then follow the map:
